Not Ready to Retire
A few years ago, I found myself in the Sandwich, as in “the sandwich generation”. Frank and I cared for our three remaining parents while launching our two adult children into the world. When it was over, I remember thinking it was the end of everything.
But no!
I relaunched my business. Rented space in a church. Made flyers. When I opened my doors, people came! It wasn’t over! Two months later, the pandemic hit. I thought I was finished.
But no!
My sister Maureen insisted I learn Zoom and keep going. I now have clients from all over the country. My Monday Development Group is full. I’m about to release my memoir. There are many many many women like me who have raised children and/or made their way in business only to find a whole new world open to us.
Yes! We still have a thing or two to say!
Writing my memoir has helped me look at all my life experience. Take stock of all the hard-won lessons. Share what I’ve learned along the way. As one of my clients recently said, “Working with you on this project has helped me more than any therapy ever did.” Now, I am not a therapist (I never would have made it through medical school). But I can help you take stock of your life choices and find the meaning in your one truly wonderful life.
